How do you get intimacy skills? How do you leave home? Leaving home means becoming a Hebrew. Vayigash means AND HE APPROACHED.
When the past opens into the future, we are hopeful. When the future closes into the past, it is dark. Indicated by the flipper vov.
You have to find yourself to find G*d. Yehuda and Joseph are going through a wrenching experience of self-discovery. They suffer many losses. Yehuda lost his wife and two sons.
You have to make yourself into a clear vessel. If you can find the root of your deficit, there is a moment when you feel like you are losing everything. The revelation of this loss is the experience of G*d. This is the story of Schwartza Wolf. The point of loss is the point of gain. For example, when Yitzak is leaving home at the Akeida, Yaakov is robbed at Har HaMoria, Yehuda when Tamar is confronting him.
The meeting between Joseph, the stone-in-the-break person, and Yehuda is the meeting between judgment and love.
Joseph is the favored child and could not tell the difference between attention and love. He wants attention, not intimacy. He has to figure out if his good locks and talents are a blessing or a curse.
Joseph does not overcome himself in this incarnation. It ends with him staring into the pit and his brothers lying to him. In his incarnation as Rabbi Matta ben Karosh, the Satan comes to him as the most beautiful woman in the world, he puts hot spikes in his eyes and refuses healing from HaShem. He says that his sexuality is imperfect. HaShem says to him that he put desires in us, nefesh behami, the animal soul, I am your collateral, you can do this, live with the other animal soul and worship me with both of your hearts. Joseph/Rabbi Matta ben Karosh accepts the healing of Rafuel. It is better to be the tail of the lion than the head of the foxes. Joseph never was able to let go of control and perfectionism. He always stays three steps ahead of everyone else. Every Jew tends to be a Joseph, clever and successful. 100 of the greatest cheaters in the history of the world are Jews.
Disguised people and mistaken identities: Leah and Ruchel on the wedding night, Jacob and Asav receiving the blessing, Tamar playing the loose woman.
Salvation comes from the thorns of life. This was Yehudaâs strength.
The brothers approached Joseph the Viceroy with war, appeasement and prayer. They started stamping their feet.

Commandments are meant to be a yoke on the neck. Joseph and Benjamin cried on each otherâs necks. Rashi says that they were lamenting the destruction of the Temple. Perhaps this is because they were dealing with hatred between brothers, and the Temple was destroyed by hatred between brothers. But the Aish Kodesh says that HaShem makes things so hard that they become preoccupied by pain and survival. When we recite the Shmah, we give ourselves to G*d, so this is called self-sacrifice. He refers to their self-sacrifice in the Warsaw Ghetto and with Rabbi Akiva.

When we are connected to G*d, we speak in the accusative, tu-toiet, YOU. When we lose connection, we go to the third person. How could Jacob be reciting the Shmah instead of falling on Josephâs neck? Someone responded that Jacob might have been trying to prevent himself from falling back into his old relationship with Joseph.
Can you connect pain and find meaning in the suffering? There is an evolution from one piece to the other. He takes it from law to prayer.
